My sinuses are draining and won’t stop. My doc said to gargle with salt water. That’s disgusting and does not help. At all. I can’t sleep because it feels like I’m drowning. Suggestions?
If you're still in need of sleep, I recommend the Natural Sleep Made Simple guide. This book contains natural, totally safe, and PROVEN methods that will let you get to sleep every night with ease. Money back guarantee.

Try Excedrin Sinus, or if you can’t take aspirin, try Tylenol Sinus. They both work great. Hope you feel better
Have a great week-end.
Tylenol Sinus medication, or Sudafed
Sounds like you need an antihistmine not a decongestant. Most otc cold remedies are decongestants(to make your nose run). Try Claritin.Or if you need sleep try Benadryl.
The OTC medications are basically nasal sprays and antibiotics which may give you some temporary relief but never any long term relief. Nasal sprays increase the drainage and can actually damage your sinuses.
There are four treatments that I know of that may help you.
Switch from dairy products to soy milk as all dairy products stimulate the mucus glands and generate a lot of mucus.
Switch from red meat to white meat as red meat also tends to generate mucus by stmulating the mucus glands.
Large amounts of Vitamin C (one gram twice a day) also help a bit. Extra Vitamin C also boosts your immune system so that when you get sinus attacks, colds and flu they are less severe and they are also less frequent.
There is another remedy which, however, is not recommended and that is plenty of booze. After a few drinks your sinuses will dry up and stop flowing due to the dehydrating effect of the alcohol.
A drying agent other than alcohol would also stop or slow down the drainage and this may perhaps be a further treatment that might help you.
Perhaps you could try a Yahoo search for “sinus problems” + “drying agents” and see what you get.
