My daughgter was like that too a few months ago. Try feeding her 3 normal meals a day (with small snacks in between if she seems hungry). She may be teething and drinking a bottle even if she's not hungry might be making her mouth feel better. Try rubbing orajel on her gums when she wakes up and just pat her back to sleep. And yes try just giving her water instead of milk. And I don't think you're being selfish, she should be sleeping good at her age and only waking up once a night out of discomfort of some sort.

Does she eat a bed time snack? I know that sounds odd... but when we were having problems with our son sleeping when he was around 8 months the doctor told us to give him a little warm oatmeal about 20 minutes before his bedtime bottle. Obviously it works for some kids, not for all I'm sure but who knows.... if you're at that point try it! I know how you feel and no it's not selfish at all! We felt the same way... good luck and I hope things get better!

I would agree with others, trying the water in a bottle instead of the milk. Problem is, she may be used to it, and it is fuller on one's stomach. Have you tried leaving a bottle of water in her crib with her? I mean, she is quite older, and that way you're not running in there. If she knows it's there and wants a drink, she can drink from it. Personally, I would also look into sippy cups.
Another avenue, make sure that you're feeding her more before she goes to bed. Give her less from the bottle, and give her more solids. Fruits, veggies, or baby cereal. It may help fill her up so that at least she will sleep longer before calling out to you in the night.
Best of luck.

My youngest is 15 months and all 3 of my girls done this. All the way up until closer to 2 years. I've tried all you've tried. I have yet to find a way. And this is my 3rd time around so I've decided that my kids are just this way. But mine is waking up 3 at most and on a rare good night its just once. Time is probably your answer. :-|
