Okay. I’m 22 weeks pregnant. My eyelid has been twitching for almost 2 weeks.
No, I’m not tired. I get plenty of sleep. I’ve been lucky enough to have a son who, nicely, is active with me and sleeps mostly at night, so no late-night kicking.
I also take 1-2 naps a day for an hour each while I ride the train. I figure this will counter any pregnancy fatigue.
I don’t drink caffeine. I’m pregnant. I just chose to skip it.
I don’t feel stressed. I believe this is what God intended for my husband and I. We planned this baby. We have lots of support and wonderful families on either side.
My pregnancy is going better than I could have imagined, and work has been slow, so my responsibilities got lighter just in time.
What IS stressing me out is that I can’t get this stupid eyelid to quit. And it seems to be more frequent and severe now than it was when it started out.
Every-single-post I read about eyelids or eyes or whatever twitching always chalks it up to sleep deprivation, caffeine, or stress.
So – if I sleep well, don’t take in caffeine (in any form), and am less stressed out mentally than I’ve been in a long time, will someone PLEASE tell me what could be causing this?
And if I hear, “well, maybe it’s because you’re pregnant,” one more time…I swear….
I’m pregnant, not sick. We can’t just assume everything is pregnancy, can we?!
Can misalignment cause it? Like a neck vertebrae out or something? Or a jaw tendon pulling just right?
Help me, please!

Most likely cause is eye strain. Do you read a lot or are you on the computer a lot? That’s my guess anyway, since you seem to have ruled out anything else
Congrats on your pregnancy ((:
But, I think it can be caused from a vitamin deficiency.
Possibly stress too. I would try eyedrops.
If this doesn’t help I suggest you see a doctor?
