I’m doing a Science Fair project on Sleep Deprivation in adults and seniors for the CYSF (Calgary Youth Science Fair) and I have used only internet encyclopedia sites for this. I didn’t have access to some books such as Brittanica and I need citations and bibliography for the following articles that are located in the actual books. (either located in Brittanica OR World Book) I only used the online versions and I would like the books to be cited PROPERLY because I suck at it.
I need bibliographies for the following articles, if possible (if not, tell me what the articles were actually called..):
Snoring; Encyclopedia Brittanica
Sleep deprivation; World Book Encyclopedia
Sleep apnea; Brittanica OR World Book

Problem: Your information is too unspecific to point to the correct source for a citation.
If you got the information from an online site, the appropriate procedure is to cite the online site. If you must have the books, ask your librarian if they can be located either in the library or through Interlibrary Loan. Your librarian can also help you with the citations; that’s what librarians do.
While some basic information can be had from encyclopedias, you are much more likely to get in-depth information from research reports. Research reports are often printed in scholarly journals that also appear on the Internet.
