Meditate, I do and it works wonders…I get comfortable in bed, I make sure im cool by putting a fan on at speed 1. I then think of nice things, i.e Children smileing and happy or floating along in a boat in calm waters, or Traveling through space and seeing all the planets , things like that, Choose your own ideas. I drift off to sleep.. Of course that is difficult if you are worried about things in your life… Stay away from coffee and do not sleep during the day… I do but I can still sleep at night…
I used to suffer from something similar to you. I tried several things which follow and they worked very well sometimes, and sometimes not.
1) a lot more exercise during the day.
2) read some info on Valerian root, a natural substance that can help you sleep. Then ask your doctor if it is OK for you to use.
3) don’t eat past mid-evening
4) learn deep breathing techniques/meditation/taichi/qigong
5) talk to someone you trust about your problems/anxieties
I found out that number 5 helped me the most. I was just really stressed out and mildly depressed. I found that talking to a psychologist helped me a lot, plus, psychologists usually don’t prescribe medication as a first action, they like you to talk out your anxieties first.
Good luck my friend.

Gradually re-schedule your bed-time.
I don’t know what your schedule is like during the day, but I think the key would be to try staying up longer until you get back to a normal state.
Tomorrow, try sleeping until noon
Next day until 2
Next day until 4
Next day until 6…
…and so on until you get back to normal.
Also, decaffeinated teas with chamomile are a great sleep aid. My wife says warm milk helps.
Your sleeping schedule is really messed up, I have the same problem. Tonight, don’t sleep again, and then stay up all day tomorrow. It might be hard but don’t even sleep for a second, no naps throughout the day. Then let yourself sleep tomorrow night around 7, 8 or 9. And set an alarm to wake up around 9 AM the next morning.
Good luck!
i had that sleeping problem since i was a real small kid my mom says. i never tired to fix it so but now oddly enough i can control that problem. XD
If you want to fix it, go out with your friends and let them take you out till 9:00 then come home to sleep. Keep doing this for a week and you should get back on your normal time. I hope it helps and I know how you feel. x__X
try to take naps during the day to catch up on a little rest…take pills for it….and don’t eat within 2 hours before you go to bed….food gives you energy that can keep you awake
go out.
Buy an x-box 360, the latest call of duty and a watch with an alarm.
the best thing is to resume normal sleep times
you will grow used to it and your body clock will adapt
